Looks like the guys from Coldplay are suffering some leakage of tracks. There are some demo tracks floating around from the Viva La Vida sessions and whats crazy is that a track like “Lovers In Japan” is nearly 4 years old. You can hear Chris Martin’s piano ballads throughout the demo’s, even when he messes up. They play like rough drafts. For now, here is one of the unreleased demos that has surfaced. There are 9 tracks in all.

The video was directed by the creative/animation team Shynola, and it features a superhero version of Coldplay singer Chris Martin doing battle with a killer squirrel in a chalk board world.

Although this sounds like a more folk’ish sounding Coldplay, it may be because the drummer Will Champion is on the MIC with the lead vocals as opposed to the conventional Chris Martin. The song can be found on Life In Technicolor II 7″. Lets see what they bring for that Grammy performance..

Check the jump for some video stills from Coldplay’s new “Technicolor” video in which the band uses puppet animation to portray their vision for the song. The video is slated for release on Tuesday so be on the lookout for that. “Prospekts March” is the new single with a new track called “The Goldrush” being the b-side to the digital release. They’re also gonna be performing at the Grammy awards on February 8th. Via Stereogum.
